Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Guttenberg and Gardner: Page 4, following line 6: Insert "FURTHER RESOLVED that the Alaska State Legislature urges the United States Congress to pass legislation requiring that a lease for the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge include a strong, clear, and enforceable duty of the lessee to explore, develop, and produce oil and gas resources that are subject to the lease; and be it" Representative Guttenberg moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. 2009-03-18 House Journal Page 0506 Representative Millett objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" Representative Dahlstrom moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHJR 7(RES) be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading, and placed on final passage. There was objection. CSHJR 7(RES) will advance to third reading on tomorrow's calendar.
